Occupational Therapist

Hello beautiful people!

I'm passionate about supporting humans who are interested in growth.  I have been working in public practice in the mental health field as a registered Occupational Therapist for the last 9 years.  I have treated many people with severe and persistent mental illness through goal setting, mindfulness, vocational engagement, community access/socialization and as a consultant, connecting people to needed local services.  In the last 3 years I became more interested in the impact that trauma has on our nervous systems as well as all areas of functioning.  I have completed Gabor Mate's Compassionate Inquiry year long professional program, as well as Opening to Grace's (Mariah Moser) Somatic Relational Therapy program.  This is because I saw many times over that, once the structure of traditional OT work is integrated, unresolved developmental trauma can be the root barrier of functioning.  I understand how to support you in trauma integration in order to accept and understand all parts of yourself.

I believe that all humans have the potential for living a satisfying life within us, and that often we need to understand how to get out of our own way.  The Enneagram is a psychospiritual map that has helped me understand how to support people in recognizing how we create our own suffering, and Carly Forest, Russ Hudson and several other amazing teachers have been my guides in doing this deep work.  My engagement with individuals is informed by this map and can be consciously woven in to the work we do together.  I am also fascinated by quantum biology/circadian principles, and have been living in accordance with these principles for a year and have experienced a big upgrade in my personal health as a result.  As a professional I see that understanding how we can align ourselves with the rhythms of nature can improve our personal health in unimagined ways.

Our sessions may include goal setting, support in creating a healthy self care routine, addressing barriers to positive change, mindfulness, breath work, somatic/trauma healing, yoga, cold thermogenesis, walking in the woods, Enneagram education, nervous system education, and how to incorporate quantum health principles for mental health healing and living a vibrant life.
